Bangor Church Celebrates Its History

It was a terrific Heritage Homecoming Weekend at Bangor Episcopal Church, Churchtown as parishioners and invited guests took a walk back in time Oct. 17-18 to celebrate 293 years of existence.

On Sunday there was a full church for the historic service as they welcomed back several of the clergy who formerly served there and others who returned as part of the new “Friends of Bangor” program. Bangor Episcopal Church is considered the mother church of Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania.
