Please Welcome Our New Diocesan Youth/Young Adult Ministry Intern

Sarah RathbunA native of Camp Hill, Sarah Rathbun grew up a member of Mount Calvary. She has been involved in Diocesan children and youth ministry since age eight when she first attended Agapeland, the former Diocesan camp program. Throughout college Sarah served Diocesan children and youth ministry as a member of the design team and music team for youth retreats and as a counselor at Camp Mount Luther. Sarah graduated in the spring of 2013 from Muhlenberg College where she studied sociology, women’s studies and business.

She joins us this year through the Sycamore House, a branch of the Episcopal Service Corps at St. Stephen’s Cathedral. As a member of the Service Corps, she works half-time for the Diocese developing programming and managing communications for Diocesan youth and young adult events, and half-time for St. Stephen’s Cathedral as an administrative assistant and Christian Education assistant. She hopes to find ways to continue to serve the Diocese after this year’s internship.

Michael Stitt is the verger at St. Andrew's, Shippensburg and a fellow in the Vergers Guild of the Episcopal Church. He would like to hear from vergers in the diocese with the goal of getting together to get to know each other and discuss the ways vergers serve the church. Remember in Your Prayers

The complete diocesan prayer list is available on the website.

As the diocese continues in this season of discernment and transition, we ask that you pray with us:

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a bishop for this Diocese, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
