Appreciative Inquiry Coming to Diocese

Leading Through Change

You are invited to the three weekend training session specifically designed to help you develop and design ministry in your congregation.

Perhaps you are considering a new ministry, or enhancing existing ministry or even developing a regional or specific new focus on youth ministry, stewardship communication and even mission outreach; the expertise of Ray Wells will equip you and a small team from your parish to make the changes necessary to transform your ministry vision into action.

Brought to you by the Congregational Development Commission and Stevenson School For Ministry (formerly known as the School of Christian Studies).

Creation Corner

The Presiding Bishop Katherine Jefferts Schori, whose earlier professional background was in science, has been a vocal advocate for climate action. She spoke in April 2013 at a climate revival at Trinity Episcopal Church in Boston's Copley Square. She called on us "to breathe new life into a dying body – the body of God’s creation."

WE Are the Diocese...

Read about new and exciting things that make us proud to be the Episcopal Church in Central Pennsylvania.

From the Bishop’s desk:

“I am grateful to Church of the Nativity and St. Stephen in Newport for the gracious gift they made to the mission of the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania this summer, with checks for $2,000 to support the Bishop Stevenson School for Ministry and $500 for Jubilee Ministries.  Their Interim Rector, The Rev. Meredyth Albright wrote in the accompanying letter:

“Church of the Nativity and St. Stephen has received many blessings over the past year, including strong investment income. As a result, the vestry members have been moved to share some of that unexpected income with the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania.”

"I would like to thank the people of Nativity and St. Stephen for their generosity mind-set, a truly Gospel value that exemplifies God’s kingdom."
