Trinity, Tyrone in Need of Book of Common Prayer

Trinity Church, Tyrone, needs to replace many of the volumes of The Book of Common Prayer in the pews.

"Before we spend money that might be used in outreach in our community, I thought we might reach out to our convocation churches and beyond to see if there are lightly used prayer books in church bookcases that they might share with us," says Deacon Jack Hoffer.

If there are donations from the Altoona convocation, the clergy can bring them to the next monthly clericus meeting.

If you are a church with books to spare, please contact Deacon Jack at 814-695-3719.

Creation Corner

In this article by Sylvia Neely, Board of Directors, Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light, we are reminded that by becoming more aware of God’s love and of the way it is revealed in all of creation, we can respond with love for all of God’s creatures, just as St. Francis did.

Sacred Stitches to Meet

Sacred Stitches will meet July 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., hosted by St. Andrew's, Shippensburg. We have invited residents of the Episcopal Home to join our group as we re-discover all things prayer shawl. There will be patterns you haven't seen before and other interesting things you may not have heard before about the ministry of prayer shawls.

In addition, we will have a yarn swap table for you to de-stash some of that yarn you don't need and take some yarn that you do need.

Please consider joining us for a really great day of sharing and learning.

Any questions? Suggestions? Contact Jeannie Zeller for more information.
