Calling all youth campers!

Youth will be stomping in cold mountain streams, hiking trails, swimming, exploring the forests, paddling sacred waters and spending nights roasting marshmallows, singing, and laughing around the camp fire! If that interests you, join us the weekend of June 26-28 at Camp Hebron. You will also have a chance to meet a bunch of new friends, grow spiritually, and get closer to God!

Bold Strategies/Brave Results: Diocesan Staff Experience Cutting-Edge Conference

The Episcopal Church Building Fund presented empowering resources for congregations to develop or enhance their missions.

During a three-day conference in Raleigh, N.C., The Very Rev. Robyn Szoke-Coolidge and Linda Arguedas learned how congregations and dioceses are able to turn fear and failure into new ways of being church.

Marlon Hall, The Awakenings Movement, was the opening keynote speaker. His powerful presentation focused on creating communities of social visionaries "where dreamers become believers and believers become doers." He shared his story of how he developed Christian community by tending to the passion and gifts of his congregation to create new mission to those who were not churched. The heart of his message was that failure inspires deeper creativity; loss can always be turned into new life through Christ.

Missed the conference? No worries, Jump Start, from the Episcopal Church Building Fund is coming to us with the same inspiring empowerment. Join us for the June 12 and 13th THRIVE, St. Andrew’s State College.

Visit the Episcopal Church Building Fund here.

Workshops offered included "design thinking" as a way to move forward in ministries; collaborating partnerships to strengthen ministry and ways to lead through the creativity of your congregation, and branding as one of the most effective ways to communicate your congregation.

The hashtag for this conference spoke to Robyn and Linda’s experience: #ChangedChurchChangedWorld
