Operation Understanding Grants

The Operation Understanding Committee is now accepting applications for the spring 2014 grant cycle.

Operation Understanding primarily provides seed money for new ministries that provide food, shelter, clothing, energy assistance and educational programs for under-privileged children.   New outreach programs that are housed in our churches or new community programs that are part of the church’s outreach endeavors are given top priority in grant selection.  All approved grant funds will be mailed to the churches (not the ministries).  Grants range from $200 to $1,500.

Grant applications may be found on the diocesan website. The deadline for grant submission is January 31, 2014.

Dates to Remember

Remember in Your Prayers

The complete diocesan prayer list is available on the website.

As the diocese continues in this season of discernment and transition, we ask that you pray with us:

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a bishop for this Diocese, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
